Racing each week begins at 7:00 PM Central Standard Time. Each week will always have its first race of the event at 7:00 PM, and times for the subsequent events will be noted. Pens close for all events one minute prior to race time, which means you need to be in the pen at least one minute prior to the start to participate. If you miss the pen, you miss the race. Show up early!
The first night of the series has three distinct events. Each event must be registered for individually. You can use the links below to register. You must be in the pen at least one minute prior to the start time to participate!
7pm : Time Trial - The race will take place on the Forest Velodrome course. This will be a 2 lap (1 km) race. It is mass start, so you will start with and see all the other riders participating but drafting will be disabled.

7:15pm: Scratch - This is a scratch race on the Phone Home Reverse course, a short criterium loop of 2.2 km per lap. Riders will complete four laps, and your place is determined by the order you cross the final banner. For this race you will be assigned to a starting pen based on your ability within TPV.

7:45pm: Points - We return to the velodrome for our introduction to points racing. We'll do ten laps, with points awarded at the end of the first lap (your read that correctly; you better SPRINT out of the gate), fifth lap, and the final (tenth) lap. This is a sinlge pen event.

In week two we inject some elevation into the series. Riders will have the opportunity to do both climbing and descending, and we finish the night on a more typical crit-loop course.
7:00pm: Time Challenge - A Time Challenge differs from a Time Trial in that a Time Trial is a race to see who can cover a set distance in the lowest amount of time, but a Time Challenge is how much distance you can cover in a set amount of time. Riders will have TEN MINUTES to see how far they can make it up the hill. It's your distance that determines your result, and drafting is enabled.

7:20pm: Downhill - What goes up... This is a 5km scratch race that is entirely downhill, and down a steep hill at that. A power-to-weight ratio that helped you on the climbs might not do you any favors here, at least not until a sprint at the end where the winner will probably need to be close to or over 100 kilometers an hour to secure a win.

7:35pm: Points - The final event of the night stops the elevation games and returns to a more typical criterium-style course, where the race will cover 6 laps on the Short Sharp Shock course in Georgetown. Points will be awarded at the end of each even-numbered (2, 4, and 6) lap. Riders will be assigned to pens by matchmaking for this race.
A keirin and a short road race are all that are on tap this week. Only two events doesn't mean it will be any easier, though.
7pm: Keirin - The race will be five total laps. The pacer will lead out the riders for the first 1,500 meters (roughly three laps) as it gradually accelerates, and then racers will be released to fight for the last 1,000 meters over the final two laps. This is a single pen event.

7:20pm: Road Race - Three laps on the Coast and Roast Reverse course (~18km total) finish the evening in a standard scratch race. This event will assign riders to pens based on ability.

In week four we start the second half of the series with survival of the fittest and then transfer to an unusually-structred points race.
7pm: Elimination - It's the first elimination race of the series. It's a four lap race (2.5km per lap) with two eliminatioon points before the finish. There are no eliminations after the first lap, but TEN (10) riders will be eliminated after both the second and third laps, leaving the last ten riders to fight it out on the final lap. Oh, and one more thing... it is going to be windy. Riders are assigned to pens based on ability.

7:30pm: Points - It's a 12-lap points race, but with an exceptionally unusual structure: points are only awarded at the end of the first and last laps. So if you win the sprint at the end of the first lap you'll be awareded as many points as the person who crosses the finish line first. How do you budget your matches to make the best possible combined score? Let's find out! This is a single pen event.
